FAQ

When does my certification expire?

For Lifeguarding, Basic Life Support, First Aid/CPR/AED and all Instructor courses, your certification is good for 2 years from the last day of your completed course.

I didn't get an e-mail with my new certification. How can I get it?

Sometimes the e-mails from the American Red Cross don't go through right away. Once your course record is completed by your instructor, you should be able to check this link to find your certification. https://www.redcross.org/take-a-class/digital-certificate

I signed up for a course but an emergency came up and I can't make the class time. Can I get a refund?

Classes are all non-refundable. However, for non-Instructor courses, you can just contact us with your situation and we can move you to a future course instead without paying a second time.

What if I fail the Lifeguarding Course? Can I still get a certification?

No. If you completed the Lifeguarding course but failed one or more of the required components for passing the class, you can not receive a certification. You would have to pay and complete the entire course again.
